Compositube handles are available:
- either pre-fitted to Leborgne tools,
- or as replacement handles. They are suitable for the majority of tools on the market.
PRODUCT BENEFITS Hollow Compositube handle in fibreglass reinforced polyamide: Saves weight and increases strength.
Handle texture comparable to wood: Pleasant to the touch.
Rot-proof: Does not degrade over time.
Cannot dry out: Permanent connection between socket and handle, whatever the conditions.
Hanging hook on replacement handles: Easy to display at retail.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR FITTING A COMPOSITUBE REPLACEMENT HANDLE Fitting: - You can fit a tool blade onto a Compositube handle with a screw through the hole in the tool blade provided for the purpose. Drilling a hole does not weaken the handle.
- Place the end of the handle in the blade socket.
- Make sure that the handle is properly seated in the socket.
- Hold the tool vertically, blade side up, and tap the other end firmly on the ground. Repeat this action until the blade is fully bedded on to the handle.
- Check that the end of the handle is sufficiently far into the socket, so that the nail hole is over the handle.
- Drill a 2.5mm hole, 20mm deep through the hole in the tool blade.
- Insert a 4 x 16mm or 4 x 20mm screw fully into the handle.
Warning: Do not secure the handle with a nail. You risk breaking the handle.
PRODUCT HISTORY In 2003 Leborgne launched the
COMPOSITUBE handle. Made from fibreglass reinforced polyamide, this hollow handle (no core) combines lightness with strength. It is perfectly suited to tools subject to high stresses and for which weight remains a factor.
